Pera Wallet Partner with Xfinite
Decentralized entertainment ecosystem Xfinitie has announced a new partnership with Algorand Wallet Pera. In a statement the two projects revealed that their joint plans include giving the XET token the “Trusted ASA” Badge on Pera, integrating Pera Connect to MzaaloNFT, joint marketing ventures, and deeper product integration.
“It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with other Algorand projects and working with Pera is something we are super excited about,” said Xfinite CEO Swanet Singh.
“The ease of use, versatility, and community of the Pera ecosystem is an amazing avenue of collaboration for us and we hope to bring their users something different with the XET token and MzaaloNFT offerings.”
Algorand Employee Confirms Increased Compatibility with Ledger
Algorand Director of Product Rotem Hemo has this week confirmed new Algorand and Ledger firmware has been launched removing previous integration barriers between the two products. Thanks to the new firmware users will now experience full support in any transaction type and size, blind signing, and support for the new Ledger Nano S+. Ledger is one of the world’s most well-known cold wallet brands meaning that this full integration will make the Algorand ecosystem more accessible to Ledger users.
Algorand Included as Layer-1 Option in xHack
Algorand has been named among a group of several layer-1 blockchains that will be for projects in the upcoming xHack Hackathon hosted by Wormhole. Taking place in Chicago, the event will run over the course of 4 weeks offering participants a variety of challenges across a wide spectrum of chains. Encode x Algorand Accelerator Announced
Algorand have announced the launch of a new 8-week online accelerator in partnership with Encode. The aim of the program is to identify the best global early-stage projects and equip them to become fully fledged start-ups.
The course also aims to provide projects with as much additional support as possible with a specialized 1-to-1 mentorship program. Applications for the Hackathon close on September 18 with applications being chosen by September 23. The event will take place from September 26-November 18.
Algo Foundry CTO Michael Knott Delivers Algorand Lecture to NTU Singapore Students
The Algo Foundry CTO Michael Knott has delivered a lecture to NTU Singapore students explaining the Algorand blockchain. Speaking to the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Knott gave the students a synopsis of his career to date before a deep dive into his involvement with the Algorand blockchain. Algo Foundry is an education tool powered by the Algorand Foundation and Undercurrent Capital to better equip founders for building products on the Algorand blockchain. Algorand Foundation CEO Speaks at SALT Conference
Algorand Foundation CEO Staci Warden joined a star-studded line-up of speakers at the SALT Conference in New York City this week taking part in the TradFi & DeFi Converge panel. The SALT Conference is hosted annually by Sky Bridge Capital and aims to converge global leaders for speaking and networking. Sky Bridge is of course headed up by prominent Algorand advocate Anthony Scaramucci who recently published a book on Algorand. Warden was joined on the TradFi & DeFi Converge panel by Geoffrey Clauss of Blockdaemon, Kristin Smith of Blockchain Association, Mary-Catherine Lader of Uniswap, Leon Marshall of Genesis Capital, and Akbar Thobhani of SFOX Trading.
Algorand Working on Significant Storage Upgrade
The CEO of DeFi trading tool Ultrade Dan Goldman has shared details on an important new upgrade coming to the Algorand network. The upgrade will be focused on “boxes” which will essentially mean a significant improvement to data storage limits for smart contracts. Read the full details in the thread by Goldman here.
Algorand CEO Sean Ford Interviewed on Gokhshtein Media
Algorand CEO Sean Ford this week appeared on the popular crypto channel Gokhshtein Media to promote the Algorand blockchain. Gokhshtein Media has over 100k followers on Twitter and covers a wide range of crypto topics. The discussion with Ford was his first video on Algorand, giving Ford the opportunity to explain the ecosystem and Algorand Inc’s biggest strategic goals. Watch the full interview here.
Decipher 2022 Speaker Line-up Reveal Begins
The speaker line for the upcoming Decipher Conference is slowly being revealed by Algorand with some of the ecosystem’s biggest names slated to appear. So far the line-up includes Sky Bridge Capital CEO Anthony Scaramucci, Algorand Founder Silvio Micali, Algorand CEO Sean Ford, Algorand Foundation CEO Staci Warden, Borderless Capital CEO David Garcia, and more. Decipher 2022 will take place in Dubai with tickets currently on sale.
