Fearless Frogs Enjoys Strong Launch
The Fearless Frogs project has enjoyed a successful launch finding itself amongst the top three best-selling collections of the week at the time of writing. A collection of 999 NFTs with a mint price of 90 ALGO. To date, the project has a total sales volume of over 50,000 ALGO on NFT Explorer and with utility upcoming on its roadmap including a VIP club and the development of a game called Frogtoptia, this could be a project to keep an eye on.
Pera Wallet Integrated onto Limewire
The Algorand Wallet Pera have this week announced that they have been integrated on the new Algorand based NFT platform Limewire. In a Tweet the project confirmed that users will now be able to transfer all Algorand music NFTs in and out of the platform using Pera. The same Tweet also confirmed that Pera and Limewire, “are currently working on larger cooperation to offer our communities a wonderful experience.”
Donkey DAO Enjoys More Success With Latest Shuffle
The Donkey DAO NFT collection once again found itself among the best-selling in the Algorand ecosystem with a sales volume in excess of 40,000 ALGO in the past 7 days at the time of writing. This comes off the back of the project’s latest shuffle which launched earlier this week. The main utility of the project is of course its DAO which allows all holders of Donkey DAO NFTs to participate in voting on propositions from the project. The operation of the DAO includes transactions and generating other forms of income. The project is also planning to, “establish a thriving gamified ecosystem facilitated through our own $CARROT ASA token, which will also incorporate further collection drops including various benefits, although these will only lower the overall collection size.”
Shufl Marketplace Launched by Major Ecosystem Players
A new Algorand NFT marketplace has been launched this week adding further innovation to the space and with backing from some of the ecosystem’s biggest names. Founded by Al Goanna creator Benji, Shufl aims to, “create the home of Algorand NFTs through a community-focused NFT marketplace that is dedicated to empowering creators and communities.” To achieve this the project have made several commitments including adopting a flat rate of 5% royalties on all marketplace sales, committing to sharing 7.5% of platform fees with the Goanna DAO, and supporting the Gilbert Goanna Tree Fund by donating 2.5% of platform fees.
According to the project part of the motivation in starting the project was to increase accessibility for new users to the Algorand ecosystem. “First impressions are incredibly important and we want new users to the chain to be excited and energised by a platform that best showcases our incredible breadth talent,” the project said in their launch piece.
“When you look at the major marketplaces on other chains such as Opensea, Looks Rare, Magic Eden etc, they all share a familiar and intuitive user interface. Yet here on Algorand for some reason we had attempted to reinvent the wheel. Now this is not an attempt to throw shade on the other platforms. The community today would not be what it is if it wasn’t for the pioneering efforts of the likes of Rand Gallery and AlgoX. However it was clear there was a genuine need for a marketplace that could offer a user experience that was comparable with that seen on other chains.”
