MIA Breaks Tops Charts in Launch Week
The MIA series from the popular artist Mama has caught the attention of the Algorand NFT ecosystem this week leading the sales charts for the past seven days. The series has so far surpassed 925k in sales volume and is remarkably already the 9 highest selling project in the history of Algorand on NFTExplorer. This represents multiple significant milestones for the artist Mama who has been one of the space’s break-out stars in 2022. Also behind the popular 99 Wise Uncles, Geko Fam, and Moofys series, Mama has now surpassed 3m ALGO in personal sales volume trailing only Algorand giants Al Goanna and Stitch.
Slushii Partners With Limewire for NFT Drop
The Algorand based digital collectibles marketplace and former music streaming giant Limewire has launched a new collection in collaboration with popular EDM DJ Slushii. The drop is titled "Sending My Love" and consists of three digital art pieces. All of these pieces unlock Slushii’s new song “Sending My Love”, and give holders access to purchase the exclusive, limited edition Slushii x LimeWire merch.
Stitch Surpasses 4m ALGO in Sales Volume
Ones of Algorand’s most well-known and respected NFT artists, Stitch, has surpassed a major milestone this week becoming just the second artist in Algorand history to surpass 4m ALGO in cumulative sales volume. Trailing only Al Goanna in cumulative sales volume, Stitch is undoubtedly a giant of the Algorand space, responsible for the creation of some of its most iconic art. With a portfolio including MNGO, Yieldlings, and Mostly Frens the sky is the limit for what Stitch can go onto achieve in this ecosystem.
FIFA Plus Collect Announce World Cup Giveaway
FIFA have announced an exciting new giveaway tied into their recently launched digital collectibles series built on Algorand. The global football governing body will be giving away a VIP trip package for two to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 which kick-offs on November 20 in Doha. To enter the draw users simply need to purchase any pack of FIFA+ Collect digital collectibles between October 27, and November 20. FIFA Plus Drop South American Flair Packs
The global Football governing body FIFA has dropped its third NFT collection this week with the launch of South American Flair Packs. As the name suggests the collection celebrates of the best moments of the renowned South American flair over the years at the World Cup. Famous examples include Lionel Messi’s first World Cup goal in 2006, James Rodriguez’s stunning volley against Uruguay in 2014, and Zico’s brilliant 1982 bicycle kick against New Zealand. Australia Zoo Wildlife Warrior Turtles Drop Sells Out
The third series of Australia Zoo Wildlife Warrior NFTs, Warrior Turtles, successfully sold out on its launch day. Priced at $60AUD all 555 NFTs were snapped up by users in a matter of hours. According to Meadow Labs, the project behind the collection, holders will gain access to an online community of like-minded Wildlife Warriors as well as an additional utility that be announced in the future.
