Self-Serve MFTs Announced by Opulous
Music licensing platform Opulous has announced it will now be opening up the service for anyone to create their very own MFTs. MFTs allow artists to mint portions of the rights to songs or albums on the Algorand blockchain so that they can be sold during auctions. This means that an MFT holder will hold part of the rights of the song or album and will earn royalties proportionally. To date, Opulous have been working with established musicians but as of a launch date at some time in 2023, the platform will be open to all artists.
On Track NFT Series Prizes Drawn
Following the conclusion of the joint NFT collection by the Algorand Foundation and Envision Racing Formula E team the Foundation have revealed prize winners from the run of the series. The collection was a joint effort from the Algorand Foundation and its commercial partner Envision Formula E racing team to raise awareness and funds for the Race Against Climate Change, the founding principal of the team. There were gold and silver prizes associated with each Grand Prix weekend on offer to users with gold prize winners scoring themselves a real 1-of-1 physical helmet version of their NFT while silver winners earn a special digital frame for their NFT.
