Milkomeda Integrates gALGO
The blockchain interoperability Milkomeda has this week announced a new partnership with Folks Finance. The agreement with Folks will allow gALGO tokens to be supported in the Milkomeda A1 Rollup on Algorand. This deal represents yet another example of the rapidly growing utility of gALGO which has seen the Folks Finance TVL grow substantially.
xBacked Mainnet Launch Announced
The Algorand based stablecoin project xBacked has announced that their eagerly awaited mainnet launch is now just around the corner. In a Tweet, the project confirmed that users can expect to get their hands on the mainnet protocol prior to the upcoming conference Decipher 2022. With Decipher taking place on November 28 users don’t have long left to wait. Those wanting to find out more about how the xBacked protocol works can use the testnet protocol here.
Day by Day NFT Policy Unveiled
The Algorand based insurance protocol Day by Day has unveiled their new NFT based policy. In a statement, the project confirmed that its insurance policies will be offered via NFTs in what was described as a “world first.”
“Following terrible first hand experiences with existing insurance companies and their processes, we developed a solution for fairer and better value global insurance,” said CEO of Day By Day Bill Angelidis.
“We have been working hard over the past year to build a decentralised solution made possible with public blockchain infrastructure. And thanks to our grant from the Algorand Foundation, we are excited to be delivering our solution. People are no longer happy with one size fits all insurance products - they want to be able to tailor their cover to their specific needs. With our new nft policy platform, we are giving them exactly that, representing a huge step forward for the industry.”
Napster CEO First 30 Days
The new Napster CEO Jonathan Vlassopulos has shared an account of his first month in the role expressing excitement about the potential he sees for his new employers. Napster was a music streaming giant during the turn of the century and has recently been repositioned as a web3 music platform built on Algorand. In his account, Vlassopulos recounted his experiences attending several conferences including Token 2049, and the Arrington Founders Retreat. You can read the full post here.
Algorand Foundation Careers Programs Set for Big Month
The Algorand Foundation’s Head of University Programs Doro Unger-Lee has shared the latest upcoming opportunities in the Algorand careers space with an exciting lineup of events in November. The three events shared by Unger-Lee were the Block Beam careers webinar taking place on November 10, The Algorand Clubs technical workshop hosted by the University of Buenos Aires on November 14, and the workshop on application development in Rome Italy on November 22. Folks Finance and Anthony Scaramucci Attend LA Blockchain Summit
The Algorand DeFi platform Folks Finance and serial Algorand investor Anthony Scaramucci were pictured together at the recent LA Blockchain Summit. The LA Blockchain Summit is one of North America’s largest blockchain conferences taking place over three days at the Los Angeles Convention Centre. Folks Finance had a stand set up in the expo area giving them access to some of the space’s most influential minds.
Pact Smart Order Routing Launched
The Algorand-based AMM protocol Pact has this week announced the launch of their Smart Router functionality on mainnet. This launch means that trades on Pact will be more effective with minimised price impact and slippage, resulting in the best possible pricing for traders. Decipher 2022 Agenda Released
The 2022 Decipher Agenda has been revealed by the Algorand Foundation with a jam-packed few days in store for those attending the event in Dubai. With a star-studded speaker line-up, there will be no shortage of fascinating conversations to take in with a wide variety of interesting subject matter set to be talked over.
