FIFA+ Collect to Launch on Algorand
The Global Football governing body FIFA has confirmed it is launching a new digital collectibles series called FIFA+ Collect built on Algorand. The series is set to feature collectibles from some of the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women's World Cup’s most iconic moments at an affordable price for fans. Algorand became the official blockchain partner of FIFA earlier this year and CEO Sean Ford says this is the first tangible example of collaboration between the two organizations. “The commitment FIFA has made to bridge to Web3 enabled by Algorand, is a testament to their innovative spirit and desire to directly and seamlessly engage with football fans around the world,” says Ford.
Brats Collection Enjoys Successful Launch Week
The new Brats Collection has enjoyed a hugely successful launch with the collection amassing over 150k ALGO in its first week according to NFT Explorer. Like many Algorand NFT projects, the collection has a charitable focus by donating a portion of sales to zoos and other non-profit organizations. The Heepow Brats are the second Heepow collection with a third slated for early 2023.
State Pooofs Series Makes Immediate Impact
The new State Poofs collection has enjoyed one of the most successful launch weeks in Algorand NFT history already surpassing 250k ALGO in sales volume. State Pooofs are the follow-up series to the Lundis collection that launched earlier in the year. The Lundis ecosystem also has a token called poof poof that collectors can utilize for obtaining rewards.
Rand Gallery Add New Live Shuffles Feature
Rand Galley have added a new feature that allows users to see all ongoing Live Algorand NFTs Shuffles directly on its homepage. The feature was added after a community suggestion on Discord. The feature also allows creators to list their own shuffles and appear on the landing for users to participate. Rand Gallery was recently acquired by Zest Capital recently with the project now enjoying a boost in resources and funding.
Envision Racing On Track NFT Series Comes to a Close
The Envision Racing and Algorand “On Track” NFT collection has officially come to an end with over 64k ALGOs raised for environmental projects along the way. The series was a joint effort from the Algorand Foundation and its commercial partner Envision Formula E racing team to raise awareness and funds for the Race Against Climate Change, the founding principal of the team. Users were able to collect 8 limited-edition NFT helmets representing the different locations around the globe that are hosting a race as part of the Formula E series. All proceeds from the initiative went towards planting mangrove trees in Madagascar for the Race Against Climate Change.
