AB Infinite 1 Sells for £151,200 on Christie's
Algorand NFT artist Andrea Bonaceto has sold his AB Infinite 1 piece for an eyewatering £151,200 through Christie’s auction house. A renowned contemporary artist, the Italian is the founder of the Algorand based fine art NFT marketplace Aorist. Described as the Bonceto’s magnum opus, the AB Infinite piece features a rich tapestry of images that conveys the artist’s life story. The piece was previously on digital display at both Times Square in New York and Oxford Street in London.
Australia Zoo Announce New Warrior Turtles Collection
Meadow Labs have revealed the first teaser for the upcoming 3rd Australia Zoo Wildlife Warrior Drop. This drop will feature Warrior Turtles and raise awareness for the currently struggling sea turtle population. According to Australia Zoo six out of seven species of sea turtles are classed as endangered. Further details about the drop are set to be shared within the Wildlife Warrior Discord server.
Algorand Host Limewire AMA
The former music streaming giant and current web3 music platform Limewire hosted was hosted by Algorand for a Reddit AMA this week. The project has recently been relaunched as an Algorand-based music NFT platform with a view to expand into other areas. The AMA question were fielded by Lime COO Marcus Feistl, CTO David Dulagan, and Head of Growth Tilen Kegl. The full AMA can be re-read here.
Pera Wallet Announce New NFDomains Support
Pera Wallet has this announced new support for Algo NFDomains on its platform. Users will now be able to search and view registered .algo wallet addresses within the Pera platform. You can try out the new functionality here.
Opulous Appear at Ditto Panel
The Algorand-based music rights platform Opulous were represented at the recent Ditto X Music conference in London by their Head of Artist Services Joe Mason and Algorand Foundation Creative Director Micah Adams. The pair took part in the Music on the Blockchain panel, discussing how services like Opulous have opened up new opportunities for artists to generate revenue and engage with their community. The event took place at the world-renowned O2 arena and featured many other high-profile speakers including representatives of some of the world’s biggest music brands as well as artists.
