Decipher 2022 Tickets go on Sale
The eagerly awaited second annual Decipher conference is drawing ever closer with tickets for the event going on sale this week. Decipher is Algorand’s major annual showcase conference giving projects, founders, and advocates the opportunity to share their work with the community. Last year’s inaugural Decipher was held in Miami with this year’s event set to take place in luxurious Dubai. The event will take place from November 28-30 with tickets available at https://decipherevent.com.
Algorand Governance Period 4 Proposals Revealed
The Algorand Foundation has revealed the details of its period 4 governance voting topics this week. As has become standard two proposals have been put forward for the community to have their say on. The first measure relates to whether or not 7m reward ALGOs should be allocated to DeFi governors going forward. DeFi governors are defined by the Foundation in their proposal as, “DeFi players who, consistently with Governance rules, commit Algos for a Governance term.” The second proposal put forward will determine whether or not DEX Liquidity Providers that contribute ALGOs in pools can participate in governance. This would mean they will be able to participate in governance by counting and monitoring these LP tokens representing the Algos committed. Voting on both proposals will open for governance participants on September 6 and will conclude on September 20. This period saw a sizable 32.9k governors stake a combined total of 3.8b ALGO.
Wormhole Bridge Coming to Algorand
Wormhole, one of the largest bridges in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, has all but confirmed the imminent arrival of Algorand as one of its platform options. The bridge protocol already offers an impressive suite of chains integrated including Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and more. In reaction to the announcement new Algorand CTO John Woods said, “When people bridge into Algorand and realise how fast it is, I can’t see them going back.”
Cosmic Champs Beta to Launch in September
Cosmic Champs have revealed that its eagerly anticipated Beta launch is set to place in September giving users their first chance to try out a version of their Algorand based NFT game. Cosmic Champs is set to be the first 3D real-time play-to-earn game on Algorand. Many of the game’s items will appear as NFTs including Champs, Ships, Planets, and Treasures. Players will also be able to utilize the $COSG token for staking, in game upgrades, and voting.
Fireblocks Confirms Algorand Integration
The Fireblocks this week formally announced the launch of its eagerly anticipated Algorand integration. The cross-chain DeFi suite will open up Algorand and Algorand projects to greater exposure and interoperability with other major players in the space. Platforms such as Pact, AlgoFi, Folks Finance, and Tinyman are expected to immediately benefit.

Pera Roadmap Updated
The Algorand Wallet Pera have this week revealed new details about their roadmap for the remainder of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. The exciting update included several new features directly suggested by the community. Check out the full roadmap here.
Falcon Signatures Introduced to Algorand
Algorand CTO John Woods this week shared details about an important new security integration that is set to provide protection for Algorand against on of blockchain’s most perpetual threats. That threat is quantum parallelism which, as explained by Woods, allows computers to efficiently solve highly complicated mathematical problems, the very kind used to keep blockchains secure. To combat this a recent innovation known as falcon signatures has now been adopted by Algorand. From a top-level Falcon Signatures provide a new security measure to prevent breaches via quantum. Algorand Foundation Announce Investment in Opulous
Opulous and the Algorand Foundation have this week shared the exciting news that the Foundation have made a formal investment in the NFT-based music licensing platform. The funding from the investment is set to assist Opulous in further expanding its growth within the ecosystem primarily through its forthcoming Royalty Vault feature.

Anthony Scaramucci Releases Algorand Book
Head of Skybridge Capital and serial financier Anthony Scaramucci has this week published his eagerly awaited Algorand book. Scaramucci has been a vocal advocate of the blockchain since its early days, often expressing his love of the technology on national television. The book is now available on Amazon and contains an explanation of what it calls “the best long-term blockchain protocols for the future.” The book is also set to feature information on the origin story of its Founder Silvio Micali.
Ctrl Alt Receives Algorand Foundation Grant
Alternative investment platform Ctrl Alt has this week been announced as the latest recipient of a grant from the Algorand Foundation. The platform is set to offer opportunities to fractionally invest in a wide variety of assets including property, sustainability projects, watches, and more.
