Silvio Micali Speaks at Blockchain Australia Week
Algorand Founder Professor Silvo Micali was among a contingent of speakers during the on-going Blockchain Australia Week Conference appearing remotely at the Sydney leg of the event. Professor Micali’s keynote speech focused Algorand’s role in the multichain future.
“I really think the future is not going to be one chain that wins them all, but it’s going to a dozen, 20 — maybe we don’t need thousands — but a fair number of chains, because each of us is good or better than others at certain things,” Professor Micali said.
“And so we are going to have multiple chains, and Algorand is going to be one of them.”
“The reason we want to do this is, we see our blockchain, which is almost designed to be a transaction blockchain, is going to be adopted more and more.”
“So we want to be able to handle not only the traffic of today, but the traffic of tomorrow, and later, all the days following tomorrow.”
