Folks Algo Governance Option
This week saw several alternative methods launching for participating in Algorand governance with new staking options launching on Folks Finance, Algofi, and GARD. By utilizing these platforms users will not only be participating in governance but also adding liquidity to the network. Algorand Foundation Evolving Community Governance
Algorand Foundation Chief Economist Massimo Morini, and Head of Market Analytics and Research Michele Treccani have published a thought piece on the potential future evolution of Algorand community governance. The post focused on exploring the notions outlined in The 8 Ostrom Principles of Governance theory and their application to Algorand. This is an insightful read for any Algorand governance participant.
Algorand Marketing Promise
New Algorand Foundation CEO Staci Warden has made bullish claims in regard to a revamped marketing approach for Algorand that is set to launch next month. In a statement on Twitter Warden promised the community a supercharged marketing budget which has seen the company making new hires, allocating resources, and refining the strategy. Warden has been in the role of Foundation CEO since February 102022.
Pact TVL Explodes
Algorand AMM Pact has experienced explosive TVL growth in the past week with platform TVL sitting comfortably above $15m ALGO. The biggest pool within the platform is currently the ALGO/GALGO3 which has a TVL of over $4m ALGO. With more partnership and incentive programs planned for the coming weeks Pact’s growth seems set to continue.
Wadzpay Partner With Algorand
Algorand has been confirmed as the layer-1 of choice for the new WadzPay protocol which is building new blockchain-based solutions for its network of partners across governments, financial institutions, issuers, acquirers, and processors.

“Our innovative approach to payments, loyalty programs, and interoperability between legacy and next generation payment ecosystems is completely synchronised.”

Limewire Share Roadmap Details
Popular former music streaming service Limewire has release further details about its upcoming relaunch roadmap on Algorand. In a statement the project shared a number of interesting tidbits including “not all collectibles on the LimeWire marketplace will be audio-based. In fact, many of our launch artists are also going to offer digital artworks that are related to music or accompanied by exclusive audio and video content.” Users can join the Limewire waitlist here.
Fracctal Monsters Recieve Algorand Foundation Grant
The Algorand Foundation have this week awarded a grant to the Fracctal Monsters NFT project. Fracctal Monsters is a game being developed on Algorand that allows players to nurture a digital pet from birth to adulthood.
In addition, players will have the ability to battle other players to earn rewards which include tokens and in-game cosmetics.
“We’re really excited to support Fracctal Monsters deliver their new P2E NFT monster gaming project on Algorand in 2022,” said Addie Wagenkneckt of Algorand Foundation.
“The Algorand NFT community base is growing, and partnering with Fracctal Monsters offers a great opportunity for a professional game development team to excel.”
Algomint Complete 100,000th Transaction
Algomint have officially completed their 100,000 transaction on their Algorand based bridge protocol. In a statement on Twitter the project confirmed that the cumulative cost to users across these 100,000 transactions was just 100 $ALGO. By comparison the same volume of transactions on the Ethereum network would have cost users as much as $4.7 mil in fees. Another great example of the real impact of Algorand’s low transaction fees.
TravelX Offer NFT Plane Tickets
New protocol TravelX has this week announced it will be utilizing the Algorand blokchain to build a platform that will allow consumers to purchase airplane tickets as NFTs. In an announcement statement the project said “We couldn’t imagine a better partner than Algorand to transform the travel industry.” To celebrate the company are currently running an auction for their first sale for a flight between Adolfo Suarez Barajas International Airport in Madrid Spain to Miami International Airport in Miami USA on Air Europa.
Pact Announce Several Partnerships
In addition to their impressive TVL boosts in recent days Pact have confirmed several exciting partnerships as part of their ongoing Aeneas Liquidity Program in collaboration with Algorand Foundation. Pact first confirmed with AlgoDAO the Algorand based DAO incubater before then announcing agreements with Folks Finance and DEGEN. The Folks Finance partnership is particularly exciting with a rewards boost for the ALGO/gALGO3 pool. The ALGO/gALGO3 already has more TVL than any other pool on Pact.
