LiquidVineyards to leverage Algorand for wine market management dapp
United States company LiquidVineyards has announced that it will leverage the Algorand Blockchain to power their digital wine rights service. The project will allow users around the world to invest in vines and enjoy the associated returns. As is the case with many defi projects LiquidVineyards removes the need for intermediaries making investment easier to receive than ever.
1st Measure of Community Governance closed
The results of the first Algorand Community Governance period vote have been released. Governance participants were asked to decide between two options for the ongoing policy about the way in which governance tokens are distributed. Ultimately the vote was 57% in favour of Option A while Option B was 43% with Option A being:
“Keeping the current system. The Governance rewards amount for 2022 will be 282M Algos (70.5M per quarter) while maintaining the current simple locking mechanism: the rewards are distributed among the governors who vote and maintain the committed Algos in their wallet for the entire quarterly period. Governors failing to do so will lose their rewards, but will incur no further penalties.”
Award-winning mobile-app enters the world of NFTs on Algorand
Photo and video editing mobile-app VSCO has this week launched a new NFT project under the name Exhibitions. This is the first new product within VSCO experimental called Plaza which is hoping to target a higher calibre of creative talent. “With so many NFTs out there, it’s hard to know what to invest in. We want to help buyers know what quality art is by entrusting cultural movers and shakers to guide us in the right direction.” said Co-Founder and CXO of VSCO Greg Lutze. “For years, VSCO has been a go-to place for creative inspiration and creation, but as creators have progressed and the creative industry has evolved, VSCO will continue to do so as well.”
Yieldly announce new Staking Pool in partnership with Xfinite
Algorand defi staking giant Yiedly has announced a new partnership with Xfinite to create a new staking pool on the Yiedly platform. Launching on November 17th the pool contains some of the ecosystem’s largest Algorand Standard Assets including Xfinite’s utility token XET, Smile Coin’s SMILE coin, the Asia Reserve Currency Coin (ARCC) and Opolous’ OPUL coin.
“We are thrilled to announce this collaboration that will enable users to stake and claim their rewards at any time in these pools, enhancing the value of the ecosystems involved”, said Yieldly Founder Sebastian Quinn.

MEXC announces new $100 mil Blockchain Growth Fund
Global exchange, MEXC Global, has this week announced the launch of a new $100 mil growth fund that will support blockchain projects with an emphasis on cross-chain functionality, Decentralized gaming NFTs, and Defi. The platform will be called MEXC Pioneer can be contacted directly by projects looking to secure funding on pioneer@mexc.com.

Algorand based carbon offsetting project Climetrade adds Spain and Colombia registries to platform
As part of the recently concluded UN COP26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland, ClimateTrade has announced the incorporation of Spain and Colombia’s digital carbon registries onto its platform. This is the first time that the platform has partnered with sovereign nations. ClimateTrade’s headquarters are in Spain and the firm is Algorand Inc.’s official carbon offsetting partner helping keep the blockchain carbon negative.
“ClimateTrade aims to offer governments and project developers a more efficient, less costly way to generate revenue for their capital nature, while allowing project developers and offset purchasers in these nations access to a secure, traceable, and verified climate registry, simplifying carbon credit accounting while maximizing value and impact,” said ClimateTrade CEO Francisco Benedito.
Music agent Mark Gillespie joins Opulous project as a Senior Advisor
Algorand based music licensing platform Opulous has announced that music agency Three Six Zero Founder and CEO Mark Gillespie has been appointed as a Senior Advisor to the project. As part of his role at Three Six Zero Gillespie manages several globally renowned artists including Calvin Harris, Will Smith, Jada Smith, Willow Smith, Jadan Smith, Nicky Jam, and more. Having recently completed their first-ever S-NFT sale, the addition of Gillespie could mean that one of his A-list clients may be the next to list their S-NFT on Opulous.
First-ever Hollywood Premier tickets have been sold as NFTs on Abris_io
Algorand NFT platform has sold Premiere tickets for a Hollywood film as NFTs for the first time. The film titled elevator stars Eric Roberts and is directed by Mukesh Modi. Set to release on Amazon Prime on November 18th the NFT Premiere tickets will also include a meet and greet with the film’s cast and crew.
Issuance and trading platform Exberry receive Algorand Foundation Grant
Primary issuance and secondary trading platform was this week announced as a recipient of an Algorand Foundation Grant. The Exberry platform will offer a deep-tech trading infrastructure solution for digital securities and asset marketplaces.
‘Bridging the DLT based ledger and real time trading core is one of the key challenges in today’s world, working closely with Algorand architects to find the right way forward was not only great experience but also one that allows us to break the glass ceiling of the most advanced technologies these days,” said Exberry Head of Product Dudi Krisher.
“This partnership will allow Exberry clients to launch their digital assets marketplace in a matter of days without writing a single line of code.”
