New York City gets NFT Fever
New York City has drawn the attention of global NFT enthusiasts in recent weeks with a number of NFT themed events helping increase public knowledge about what they are and how they work. This began with the second-ever nft.nyc conference in Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in midtown Manhattan. The event had more than 5,500 attendees with 3,000 more on waiting lists.
As well as this, 15 of New York’s world-famous Times Square billboards featured a variety of NFT works from different blockchains. This includes Beeple’s famous “Everyday” piece, as well as several of Ethereum’s most popular collectible series.
Award-winning mobile-app enters the world of NFTs on Algorand
Photo and video editing mobile-app VSCO has this week launched a new NFT project under the name Exhibitions. This is the first new product within VSCO experimental called Plaza which is hoping to target a higher calibre of creative talent.
“With so many NFTs out there, it’s hard to know what to invest in. We want to help buyers know what quality art is by entrusting cultural movers and shakers to guide us in the right direction.” said Co-Founder and CXO of VSCO Greg Lutze.
“For years, VSCO has been a go-to place for creative inspiration and creation, but as creators have progressed and the creative industry has evolved, VSCO will continue to do so as well.”
