Al Goanna Zombie Virus Sells For 18,000 ALGO
Al Goanna have sold one of their three Zombie Virus NFTs for a staggering 18,000 ALGOs as they build up to their v2 launch. The super rare zombie virus can be used to produce a highly infected and rare mega zombie goanna. As well as this, users can also acquire one of 486 Zombie Bites which can be used to turn V1 goanna into a zombie. These NFT were distributed as part of Al Goanna’s second snapshot for an airdrop to users.
Apes Taking the Algorand NFT Ecosystem by Storm
The Algorilla Ape project have broken their previous sales record selling one of their elite Apes for over 2500 ALGO. Algorilla is one of the ecosystem’s fastest-growing NFT projects with a total sales volume of over 215000 ALGO and 42000 ALGO this week alone at the time of writing. The project is already among the top 15 best-selling projects in the history of Algorand.
Limewire Revamps as NFT Marketplace Built on Algorand
Now defunct music downloading service LimeWire has this week announced that it is making a comeback now starting an NFT based venture. As part of a suite of new announcements, the company confirmed that it has partnered with Algorand to be its official blockchain partner. The company's site currently notes that its NFT marketplace will officially launch in May 2022 with a public token sale, and launch in the film industry to take place in Q4.
“LimeWire is returning as a platform for artists, not against them,” said New Limewire CEO Julian Zehetmayr.
“On LimeWire, the majority of the revenue will go directly to the artist, and we will be working with creators to allow full flexibility, ownership and control when it comes to their content.”
Day By Day Partners with Algorand Allowing Users to Mint NFT Insurance Policies
Decentralized insurance protocol Day by Day has partnered with Algorand to build on its layer 1. Having received a grant from the Algorand Foundation earlier in the year integrating with the blockchain has allowed Day by Day to Build a decentralized insurance platform.
The Day By Day DAO platform will consist of an insurance marketplace which can be used to insure real-world assets using NFTs.
“The team and I are thrilled to be building on Algorand and look forward to immersing ourselves in the Algorand Community,” said Day By Day founder and CEO, Bill Angelidis.
“Our grant not only enables us to build out Day By Day, but to be a special part of building out Algorand globally.”
“There’s great excitement but also great responsibility that comes with being the first of a kind, which I think is why Algorand and Day By Day will work so well together.”
